Mark Matthews
When the swell forecast predicts waves over 20 feet, that’s when Australian Mark Matthews starts getting excited. The 26 year old surfer will drop everything to get to big surf and a full time big wave surfer. He is a slab wave specialist, establishing himself at the notorious “Ours” break on the South Coast of Sydney. Mark joined the Storm Surfers team on their 2011 mission to Ours and was elated at the chance to lead two of his childhood heroes into a truly death defying wave.
